Advano & Tulane University Engage in Sponsored R&D Agreement - Next Generation Silicon Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries

Both parties intent to streamline the commercialization of proprietary silicon materials that enhance the performance of lithium-ion batteries.

Advano and Tulane University have entered into a sponsored research agreement to further the development of Advano's functionalized silicon nanoparticles which dramatically enhance the energy density and cycle life of lithium-ion batteries. This project will demonstrate the efficacy of Advano's materials as LiB active materials while also prototyping a novel nanocomposite anode designss to exhibit the maximum performance capability of Advano's functionalized silicon nanoparticles. This sponsored research agreement will set the foundation for future collaboration and development.

Advano was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in New Orleans. Advano is a nanoparticle manufacturing and processing company that will disrupt the way nanoparticles are currently made. Advano features an innovative 4-in-1 step nanoparticle manufacturing process that is rapid, simple, efficient and highly scalable. The functionalized nanoparticles produced by Advano's process are high quality and are produced up to 3,000x cheaper than current market price.
